Webinar recording: Everything you need to know about commissioning

In this recording of our webinar (original event 10 February 2026), we explored the different ways that groups can go about commissioning a new piece of music and the things to think about before starting. 

Guest speakers included Dan Goren from Composers Edition, Tamara Kohler from Contemporary Music for All as well as representatives from Making Music member groups Redland Windband and Southend Vox Chamber Choir.

We also talked about Making Music’s Adopt a Music Creator scheme, how to apply and the changes being made for 2026.
