The Big Summer Wind Orchestra and Choir is expanding for Make Music Day 2026
Join the Big Summer Wind Orchestra & Choir this 21 June for an epic Make Music Day performance at locations across the UK!
Make Music Day is an annual celebration of music that’s held each year on 21 June in over 2,000 cities across the world. It’s open to anyone that wants to take part – whether professional or hobbyist, young or old and regardless of genre type.
We’re delighted to announce that not only are we teaming up with The Big Summer Wind Orchestra & Choir again, but that for the first time this year, as well as their usual London event, they are expanding their operations to Belfast, Aberystwyth and Falkirk!
Everyone is welcome to join and sing or play any wind orchestra instrument. You can expect to perform a wide range of music including well-known favourites, pop, folk, opera songs and classical arrangements. Sheet music will be provided for free to all performers.
Share it with your members, friends and family – encourage them to perform or come and enjoy the free concert
Sign up to perform:
- London, England (Potters Fields Park, near Tower Bridge)
- Belfast, Northern Ireland (2 Royal Avenue)
- Aberystwyth, Wales (Llys y Brenin, near Aberystwyth Promenade)
- Falkirk, Scotland (Helix Park near the Kelpies statues)
'Make Music Day is the perfect opportunity for enormous one-off performances, and absolutely everyone can join the fun at our unique events. It’s superb to work with Making Music to spread out from our London base to all four UK nations, and hopefully inspire even more people into regular music making.'
